Adjust Your Chair First
How is my wonderful dental community? Keeping warm this winter, I hope.
This week’s tip is a simple one, but it can make a significant difference to how you feel and work throughout the day.
Tip of the Week: Adjust Your Chair First
You wouldn’t get into your car after someone else had been driving it and leave the seat in the wrong position.
The same applies to your dental chair.
You may be working in a different surgery, with a different dentist or OHT, or using a chair that someone else adjusted the day before. Before the first patient arrives, take a few seconds to reposition your chair correctly or change it.
This simple habit can help reduce long-term back and neck strain, improve your posture and make you more efficient because you can actually see the working area properly.
Adjust your chair. Check your position. Then start your day.
Ergonomics is included in all our practical workshops, and a tailored yoga session can also be added for your team.
As always, we have made you a quick cheatsheet to pop in your tearoom, as a reminder.
